How Colordrops Shaped the Immersive Environment of Majaland Indoor

In 2024, Majaland Gdańsk opened its new indoor park, an ambitious project designed to bring the magic of Maya the Bee, the Smurfs, and other beloved characters into a seamless indoor universe.

From rockwork and themed houses to wood structures, props, and retail spaces, Colordrops was entrusted with the complete decorative production of this space. Our mission: to create a coherent, immersive world where families can flow effortlessly from one themed zone to another, with no breaks in the storytelling.

Creative + Technical Breakdown:

  • Rockwork & scenic sculpting: Large-scale artificial rocks and surfaces were designed, carved, and painted to create natural, immersive backdrops.
  • Woodwork & structural elements: Custom wooden constructions gave shape to Smurf houses, bee hives, and playful architectural details.
  • Props & set dressing: Themed objects — from small decorative props to large-scale scenic pieces — brought authenticity and detail to every corner.
  • Retail & shop areas: Designed to flow seamlessly from the attractions, ensuring the storytelling continues even in commercial spaces.
  • Color & finish treatments: Unified painting and surface techniques tied the different materials together, ensuring visual consistency across the park.

The key was coherence. Visitors should never feel they are moving from one “set” to another, but instead walking inside a living, breathing world. Whether inside a Smurf house, under a rock arch, or in the themed shop, the textures, colors, and details flow seamlessly, creating a single narrative universe.
