How Colordrops Brought Nickelodeon Land to Life
In May 2025, Nickelodeon Land Gdańsk opened as a new outdoor family destination, transforming iconic TV worlds into immersive attractions. From SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom to Paw Patrol’s Lookout Tower and splashy, playful zones, Colordrops was proud to deliver the scenic design and decorative production that make these stories larger than life.
Our role: to create coherent, durable, and visually stunning environments that capture the humor, color, and adventure of Nickelodeon’s beloved characters.
Zone 1: Nickelodeon Splashes
- Gateway to splashy fun: A colorful entrance that sets the mood for playful, quirky water adventures.
- Theming & props: Bright, humorous scenic elements designed to create instant energy and kid-friendly fun.
Zone 2: Bikini Bottom
- Immersive worldbuilding: The iconic undersea village, reimagined on land.
- Scenic production:
○ Large-scale rockwork and corals
○ A towering pineapple house
○ An imposing façade that anchors the zone visually
○ A massive ghost ship, sculpted and themed to transport guests into SpongeBob’s wacky adventures - Atmosphere: Visitors stroll through Bikini Bottom as the theme song echoes, with sights, textures, and colors designed to evoke a “pineapple-scented summer”.
Zone 3: Paw Patrol – Lookout Tower & Driving School
- The Watchtower: Scenic theming of the Paw Patrol base, complete with the tower’s signature shape.
- Ride decoration: Driving School themed with props, graphics, and scenic details to immerse kids in Paw Patrol’s world.
- Playful guardianship: The puppies are always “watching over,” creating a safe and cheerful environment.
Nickelodeon Land was designed to translate TV animation into three-dimensional space. Every surface, prop, and scenic element needed to feel both authentic to the shows and exciting in a theme park context.
Our materials and finishes balanced cartoon exaggeration with real-world durability, ensuring zones look vibrant and withstand outdoor conditions.
Built for Fun, Built to Last
As an outdoor park, Nickelodeon Land required weather-resistant structures, coatings, and finishes. From massive rockwork to detailed props, all elements were engineered to resist daily wear, climate conditions, and high guest interaction.
